Hair & Beauty Magazine
I am totally psyched for today's Ur Made Up Face since I'm featuring not one, but two ladies! It's the twin beauties, Michelle and Katherine! These girls surely know fashion and how to have fun! Check them out and their beautiful made up faces for the 13th installment of Ur Made Up Face.
We’re Michelle and Katherine, twin sisters and the brains behind the fashion blog M + K. We’re university students by day and bloggers by night. While our blog is fashion focused with Celebrity Style Snag and How to Style posts, we are also beginning to dip our toes into the beauty waters with our fun Nail It tutorials and Beauty Report Cards.
Our recent trip to Japan and Singapore allowed us to indulge our hobbies of shopping, eating and traveling. When we weren’t in the fitting rooms or taking in the sights of Tokyo, we were sampling their cuisine.
Doing our makeup every day together is our bonding time. Usually we just talk while getting ready, but if you’re lucky, you might just catch us singing at the top of our lungs, after all, we are professional hair brush singers!

On most days I like to wear minimal makeup. My typical routine involves some concealer, mascara and brow powder. But my FOTD is what I would wear if I’m hitting the shops or feeling a little fancy. This is still a very natural look, which is one I’m most comfortable with.
Face/Cheeks · ChiChi Mineral Powder Light to Medium · Garnier BB cream in Light · Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in Ivory · Savy Classic Blush in Cherry
Eyes and lip · Maybelline Colossal Cateye Mascara in Glam Black · Models Prefer Powder in Black · Rimmel Vinyl Gloss in Fashion Icon · RImmel Kajal Pencil in Pure White · Shiseido Petit Shadow Duo · Maybelline Eye Studio Eye Shadow Quad in Copper Chic
I don’t think I can decide between my Maybelline Colossal Eyes Mascara and Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer. I love the way the mascara holds my curls and adds the perfect amount of length to really open my eyes. But then, concealer is always a must for covering up those horrid under eye circles, especially after late nights studying (or blogging!!).
Katherine
This FOTD is typical of what I wear on a daily basis. I love a more natural Miranda Kerr-esque look which is why I tend to stick to a neutral palette, but I do like the occasional dark purple along my lash line for a pop of color.
Face/Cheeks · Nyx Rouge Cream Blush in Hot Pink · ChiChi Kabuki Brush · Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in True Ivory
· ChiChi Mineral Powder in Light to Medium
Eyes/Lip · Models Prefer Powder in Black · Revlon Lash Potion in Blackest Black · Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in Ivory · Revlon spoole brush · Revlon Color Stay 12Hr Eyeshadow Palette in Coffee Bean · Revlon Color Stay 16Hr Eyeshadow Palette in Enchanted · Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Liner in Brown · Loreal Lip Balm in Shiny Apricot
I have a few products I don’t think I could live without! My eyebrows are one thing I rarely leave the house without doing, so my Models Prefer Powder has to be up there. The color matches my brows perfectly and stays put all day! A natural blush is also a must for me, so I can’t not mention the NYX blush that Michelle gave me! The cream formulation makes it the perfect au naturel product, great for day to day wear. Last but not least, I have recently rediscovered the wonders of this Maybelline Gel Liner. I like to softly line my top lash line to create the illusion of thicker lashes.
We’d like to say a big THANK YOU to Joanne for inviting us to guest blog here. As you can tell from our photos (and stifled laughs), this was our first FOTD post and we had a blast putting it together! ♥ M + K
