Posted on the 17 December 2013 by Anna Peterson

If you live in the UK, and you cannot afford buying 7-inch tablets such as Google Nexus 7 or Amazon Kindle Fire, now you can have Ubislate 7Ci for just £30. We present you the world’s cheapest tablet.

Cheap tablet Ubislate

Ubislate 7Ci is claimed to be the cheapest tablet in the world

This device comes with some pretty decent features for the money and it looks like the popular seven-inchers got their competition. Ubislate 7Ci was initially designed as part of an educational project where Indian government wanted to provide students with cheap tablets. The device was later developed into a commercial product by DataWind.

UbiSlate comes with a low-resolution touchscreen, 1 GHz Cortex A8 processor, 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of storage with a microSD card slot, and runs a modified version of Android Ice Cream Sandwich. This tablet features series of applications for education, entertainment, gaming and productivity and its main goal is to bring computer and internet access to everyone.

Not bad for £30, right?
