Since acquiring a fringe not too long ago, I have found that my need for hairspray has increased as my hair is naturally unruly, I need something to keep my new ‘bangs’ in check.
I have used Elnett off and on (mainly for nights out) during my teenage years but I find that it can leave my hair a bit crispy and it is hard to layer the product up. I have always liked TRESemme shampoos and so they must surely have a good hairspray right?
Quite so…
I chose the Touchable Finish hairspray which is ranked a 4 on their strength Richter scale. The strongest is a 5, so this makes me think nothing is gonna move my fringe with a spritz of this. It fights the elements and humidity along with keeping your style natural and touchable, so this is obviously going in my suitcase come Summer holiday time (Egypt for those wondering!)
What I like about this hairspray is the mist is incredibly fine, so no matter how much you spray you aren’t going to choke yourself to death. It is also incredibly lightweight. You can’t even feel it in your hair, which I think is a bonus.
My hair looks shiny, healthy and in place whether I want it smooth and sleek or messily voluminous. The hair doesn’t feel crispy, sticky or weighed down and it can also be layered up on areas you want extra hold, like on intricate up-dos for instance.
It claims to last 24 hours, whether it does I am not certain but it definitely lasts all day.
When it comes to bed time it is easy to brush through, it’s like nothing was ever on your hair.
Hairspray isn’t the most exciting thing to discuss but it has become an essential for me and this one is also a bargain!
Available at Boots, Superdrug and online. Priced £4.69 for a 500ml can. I have the travel 100ml which is about £1.69.
Do you only use Elnett? Or do you have a different hairspray to recommend? Tell me in the comments.
