Too Faced Perfect Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner - PERFECT BLACK

By Hlthbeauty
Eyeliners are like a necessary evil. Actually, more necessary and less evil. ;) No makeup look is ever complete without a good stroke of an eyeliner. And on busy days, just an eyeliner is the complete makeup look. I have the shakiest hands in the world and applying liner is like the most nervous task I do in a day. On top of that, I have the oiliest lids as well. Ya, I know I am doomed. :( This is the reason why I keep on buying tons and tons of eyeliners to get that one liner which makes this task easy and a long lasting one.
I am reviewing Too Faced Perfect Eyes Eyeliner in Perfect Black today. Lets check out how this popular eyeliner fared on me!!! :)

PRICE - USD 18 (~ INR 1200)
WHAT THE BRAND CLAIMS
Hey, pretty girl! Don’t aspire to perfection; own it with our Perfect Eyes liner. Our gel formula glides on with the ease of a liquid and stays put for 8+ hours. The high-impact pencils come in nine waterproof shades from classic to cutting-edge. The attached beveled smudger transforms your line from razor-sharp to smoldering smokey with one deft stroke.
PACKAGING
Too Faced Perfect Eyes Eyeliner in Perfect Black comes packaged as a pencil eyeliner with a black plastic cap. I have the travel-sized version. However, the fuller version comes with a smudger as well on the other end. The smudger is intended to help you smoke out the liner to get an edgy look easily.

TEXTURE
Too Faced Perfect Eyes Eyeliner in Perfect Black is really the creamiest and softest liner I have ever used. It is very gentle on the eyelids and reminds you of soft kohl. It glides on super evenly, without a slightest tug on the eyelids.
The finish is slightly glossy when freshly applied. However, it settles to a complete matte finish.
PIGMENTATION
Too Faced Perfect Eyes Eyeliner in Perfect Black has a crazy pigmentation. Just one swipe gives you an intense black on the eyes. You may not even feel like applying a second swipe. That is the intensity of the color deposited on the eyes in one stroke.
Too Faced Perfect Eyes Eyeliner in Perfect Black is an ultra matte black. It is really very intense and looks the blackest black.
STAYING POWER
Now here is where the party gets spoiled for me! Its creamy texture and my oily lids were not meant for each other. The best eye primers have failed and so have the black eyeshadows I have used to set it once applied. They do help to increase the longevity. But nothing stops the way its smears on me.
Too Faced Perfect Eyes Eyeliner in Perfect Black still lasts for about 5-6 hours on me, but gives me bad raccoon eyes in that time. It also does not last on my waterline. However, if I avoid going out in heat and wear it for around 3-4 hours, it works well for me.
So, just on my oily lids, its staying power is not that credible.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Too Faced Perfect Eyes Eyeliner in Perfect Black comes very close to my HG eyeliner, but for the smearing on my lids.
I love the creamy and smooth texture of the liner that enables me to get a perfect black line in just one stroke. The pigmentation and finish are again drool worthy. Only if it could work on my oily lids. :(
Very highly recommended for normal and dry lids. Oily lids beauties, lets keep our options open for the perfect eyeliner. The best is yet to come!!! :)

HnB Ed* - Alas! Such a baddie on oily lids and the waterline performance ain't that impressive too! But that matte dark black is a heartthrob! You have beautiful eyes and skin Himani! Nicely reviewed too!
