Toni&Guy : Volume Plumping Whip

Hey There,

Being someone who craves and lusts after big, bouncy, volume hair, yes another Cheryl Cole wannabe, (Well actually just for her hair) I have tried many things to achieve that look, from ‘Sleep in Rollers’ to back combing, and several ‘not so good’ products. And this just happens to be another ‘too good to be true’ product to add to the unwanted, and ‘never to be used again’ pile.

When I first received Toni&Guys Volume Plumping Whip in my Latest in Beauty Glamour Edit Box, I actually thought, ‘this could be pretty good’, with the reputation of most Toni&Guy hair salons, I had not yet splurged out on any of their hair stuff and had my fingers crossed for this one. The Volume Plumping Whip claims to create body and bounce from the roots, and says all you need to do is put a walnut amount on towel dried hair, before heat styling with a barrel-brush . Now it might be because I’m not a hair dresser, or just generally not that good with hair styling, but not only did this product do little or nothing to my hair, but it also left my hair ridiculously greasy, no it actually was that next level grease, I may as well of slapped the whip across my roots and left it.

Arghhh don’t you just hate it when a product gets you all excited, and then just completely lets you down? I mean completely disappoints you. I hate it when I have to be so negative about something, I wish everything I tried was as good as I hoped but I suppose that is pretty wishful thinking.

At £7.19, I get more effect from my £1.99 dry shampoo, I think I’ll be sticking to the rollers for now. Unless any of you lovely readers happen to have a little secret to beautiful volumized hair you don’t mind sharing?
