Tomorrow is National Black Cat Day!

By Lisagray @juicysatsuma
Animal charity Cats Protection declare the 25th of October every year National Black Cat Day. Black cats are often overlooked by potential adopters, and on average spend a week longer in the care of the Cats Protection than other cats. No one really knows why but it is suspected that people have an outdated belief that black cats are unlucky, or for some reason prefer more ‘exotic’ coloured cats.

I adopted my cats from a Cats Protection center and one of them is all black. His name is Axel and he is utterly adorable. He is very cheeky, and I am actually half asleep while I’m typing this right now because he kept me up all night crying for cuddles! Black cats make wonderful pets so if you are thinking of adopting a cat, please consider a little black one.
