Holiday season is in full swing and my Instagram account has turned into a daily explosion of envy inducing snaps, which are adding to my travel bucket list at super speed. For those, like myself, who are firmly in the office for the foreseeable future, my summer fragrance collection is the nearest I am getting to jetting off to warmer climates.
Having had the Amalfi Coast on my list for some time, I was thrilled when Tom Ford offered to take me there, via the latest addition to his Private Blend Collection of fragrances.
Mandarino di Amalfi is my perfect Italian summer trip; with adventure (jasmine), relaxation (tarragon), rejuvenation (grapefruit), romance (musk) and those classic summery Mediterranean citrus scents, conjuring up endless beach days and lazy lunches in idyllic cliff top surroundings.
The composition is fairly complex with notes of tarragon, mint, blackcurrant, grapefruit, lemon, basil, black pepper, coriander, orange blossom, sage, jasmine, amber and musk to name but a few; all of which combine to create the unisex fragrance that has become Mr Ford’s scent signature.Of all of the Tom Ford scents in my collection, this is probably most similar to my beloved Rive d’Ambre, but in a lighter, fresher version, as denoted by the dazzlingly vibrant aquamarine bottle.
When I am done with the coastline I plan to take a trip to the Italian forest with the other new summer addition ‘Costa Azzurra’. But for now I am happy on the terrace of my whitewashed villa, gelato in hand……..
Mandarino di Amalfi 50ml is priced at £142 and can be purchased online here >
