I’ve attended a talk show. OK been an audience in a talk show. I know there are many talk show in the world like The Ellen Degeneres show or The Oprah Show but today, the talk show in which I’m going to talk about today is Singapore’s very own LOL 2!
Basically, LOL 2 is a 30-min comedic talk show which targets mainly on woman and youths. Unlike the first season, this second season is hosted by Denise Tan and Marcus AC and they are here to bring more informative comedic episodes!
Being a kiasu Singaporean, my friend and I attended their first recording on the 12 July and we were given this pink band to be strapped on our hand!
Upon entry, we were greeted by darkness (they were having a black out) but we still managed to make out what’s what. Basically there were 3 stations at the registration:
- Benefit counter (not opened)
- Time Bottega Champagne (So shiny!)(avaliable for ordering only)
- Refreshments (Coke & Some pastries)
Long story short, after waiting for an hour plus, we finally were ushered to the recording place!
and the first thing we see saw when we sit down was cameras and lights facing us. Apparently, they were to record the audience applause and such first.

Well, after all the recordings and such, here are the guests for the first segment of the day!
Presenting Kuma, Shuaimi Yusof and Patricia Mok! Basically, they talk quite briefly about themselves and their future dreams and goals. Of course, on top of that, they’ll never fail to have us all cracking up! What a bundle of joy!
Next, we have a dance segment!
Basically in this segment, it shows a video of Denise and Marcus dancing first then they got 2 volunteers from the audience to dance with them. (The 2 ladies in black are the volunteers and the woman in leopard prints is the dance instructor)
After dancing and practicing for 2-3 times, they finally got a good take and it’s time to move on to the last segment!

Lucky for you, I’ve recorded the 2 songs which he sang there!:
First song is Pedestal! (One of the songs from his album, EP)
The second and last song to end the day is Bitter (It’s not in his album but he performed it somewhere else before)
and that’s pretty much how the recording end off! On the way out we collected our goodie bags (there were 3!)
Fiji water was provided on our seat that day (I managed to squeeze my hand out of the pink band!)
