The very first runway show on a real catwalk was held at Metropolitan Club, a New York City landmark and institution. As a tribute to her extraordinary fashion career, Carolina Herrera has been honored in many occasions. Most recently, she was named the Style Awards Designer of the Year and was awarded with the Fashion Group International’s Superstar award in 2012. She has also received international awards, such as the Spain’s Gold Medal for Merit in the Fine Arts.
