As more and more cafes springing up in the neighbourhood, there is one particular cafe that caught our eye. To-Gather cafe is a new cafe introduced into the Bedok North neighbourhood. What makes this cafe “special” is its prices. It serves up food and drinks at a much lower price (without GST too!) and with an ambience that’s cozily right. After all, the word To-Gather simply means a place to gather with your friends and family to eat, talk and gossip over food and drinks without burning a hole in your pockets.

Enough with the introduction. To-Gather cafe.

For the drinks, we ordered the Iced Dark Chocolate (left) and Ice Cafe Mocha (right). Both drinks are not very sweet to thirst you after and has a decent volume for the price. To-Gather uses UCC coffee beans for their coffee drinks so the flavours in their coffee drinks are still good. Oh by the way speaking of drinks, if you choose not to order any on the menu, there is free flow lemon sky juice to take at your own convenience.

Ambience is good and cozy. Yes, we know you may be wondering about the space but we can tell you it is not as tight as you thought to be. As you can see the cafe’s seating capacity is quite limited and the good news is they take reservation so you can call them up to make a reservation.

Their menu is simply laid out at the counter, easy to read. It’s interior has the standard we have no complain of.

Normally, you will see a Chicken Cordon Bleu but here, they served the Pork Cordon Bleu. It’s something unique because due to the nature of the meat, Pork Cordon Bleu is not quite possible.

At a glance it looks like pork cutlet but once cut, you can see the hot melted cheese oozing out of the pork. It is Pork Cordon Bleu and yes, it has ham within it. They had the pork thinned so it becomes easier to get it cooked and the cheese to melt. It’s tender, cheesy and crispy. There is this sauce you can dip it in that serves with the pork.

The Pandan Chicken is next. It is chicken chop that ends with a pandan flavour. You can actually taste the pandan flavour as you bite the chicken in your mouth. On the top are chopped fruits. Though seems like toppings, these still-juicy fruits brings together a refreshing taste to compliment with the “dull” pandan chicken and the light coconut sauce that drizzles on it. The chicken is pretty well done up. No complains.

There are finger foods to nibble if you just want to have something to bite into as you talk at the table with your friends. Calamari (served up with Hoeny Mustard sauce), Thai Chicken Cubes, Fries, Mexican Quesadilla (Grilled Chicken Slices w/ Tomato Salsa Dip) and more.

Overall, To-Gather cafe is a cafe that has the sufficient level of cozy-ness with menu versatile enough for people to pop in for a meal, a quick-bite or drinks with couple of friends or family. We seen both categories of people hanging out just fine; talking, laughing and looking satisfied as they tucked in. It’s heartland location also makes it easier for more people to reach and not to mention, it’s relaxed bill makes it affordable to many even just for a cup of coffee, coffee with latte art to brighten your day.
