Time for Some Garden Shed Cleaning

By Nancy Bell @nancyfancyfree

I have been spending so much of my free time gardening these days. I find so much relaxation watering the plants and taking care of my fabulous raised garden bed. But recently I have been a little too relaxed about putting my gardening tools in our garden shed and it has turned into a disaster zone in there. It is so frustrating trying to find where I thought a “good place to put my clippers” was instead of hanging them up. I got so fed up today and decided to do an entire shed clean out, and boy oh boy am I happy I did.

Time for some Garden Shed Cleaning

At first glance, my shed looked like a tornado ripped through it. I had no idea where to begin but to take EVERYTHING out and organize it on my lawn. It looked so much better empty and the shelves clear. I did a little wipe down to freshen everything up and began my attack at organizing.

I made piles of trash, donate, outdoor protection, fertilizers and plant food, gardening tools, and all the random things “I need”. Just like my pantry I got baskets and labeled them according. I found really cheap sturdy basket totes at my local dollar store…what a steal! I really believe that baskets make such a difference when organizing a space.

I feel so much better that I can actually find what I am looking for now. I was wasting so much time looking for what I needed instead of actually doing it. I am usually very organized but being busy at work and having other commitments made me careless. I am so happy that I had time to organize the shed and will be able to find everything.

What are your secrets to keep organized?

Until Next Time,

Nancy
