Three Things Thursday

By Khourianya @khourianya
1) I never talked about my volunteering efforts while I was on vacation.  Well, thanks to nobody wanting pathway volunteers on a  weekday and the horrific chest cold I came down with the second I was off work...I only ended up volunteering one morning.
Along with two ladies from the Weaselhead Glenmore Park Preservation Society, we hiked into the Weaselhead and documented the damage so a volunteer plan could be developed.  I was super happy to see that the damage wasn't as bad as we had all expected and with a little bit of manpower to move large logs and to trim brush back, it should be easily restored back to the way it was.
If you would like to see the photos we took, there is a Flickr site where they are all uploaded.
I wish I was in a position to do so much more but I am happy I could help out in some way.

2) I am really starting to go batshit crazy with not running for almost 2 weeks now.   Just thought I'd throw that out there.   I'm not actually sure how I've held it together so well.  I am really hoping to be able to get in a run tomorrow and am also hoping my legs remember how to do it...or if my ankle will let me...

which brings me to...
3) Last night, I was leaving the fabric store with the girlies and Buggie beelined in front of me for the car and I quickly sidestepped - only to be rewarded with shooting pains across the top of my ankle.  I didn't roll my ankle or have anything funny happen...just sudden pain.
Booo.
I iced it last night and am taking it pretty easy on it today.  I thought I was in the clear this morning when I could make circles with my foot pain-free...but then I was walking down the hall at work and BLAMMO!  Pain.  As long as I am walking straight ahead - I seem to be ok, but if I need to move side to side at all I have issues.  I hope this thing resolves itself fast.  Now that the cold is breaking up - I really want to get back to running...
