The Stoned Crow, Broadway

By Takeeatfoodblog
The Stoned Crow has recently just stepped into the Broadway, Sydney food scene delivering a modern twist on classic pub food. The Stoned Crow bar and restaurant has a relaxed and warm atmosphere serving hearty food perfect to share with friends. The menu is also paired up with an extensive selection of cocktails and wine which accompanies anything you order.
On a cold winter's day I was lucky to be invited by Simon from the Huddle Group to try out what The Stoned Crow, Broadway had to offer. The bar/ restaurant was extremely warm which was perfect since the weather outside was too harsh for all of us to handle, we instantly felt welcomed.
Myself, along with other foodies were treated to a variety amount of different dishes from Aracini Balls to Peking Duck Pizza. By the end of the meal we were all falling into deep food comas and rubbing our bellies! The Stoned Crow definitely did not disappoint and should be highly commended for its creative and high quality food that it serves up.

3 Cheese Arancini Balls
The 3 Cheese Arancini Balls were packed full of flavor and was definitely a crowd pleasure. If you love cheese this is the starter dish that you must order. I am not the biggest fan of cheese and I don't eat too much of it but these Arancini Balls were not too strong and did not have that overpowering cheese taste. This starter dish is great to share with friends or to have with a cocktail/ wine.

Spicy Chicken Buffalo Wings
When I went to America I remember eating buffalo wings and I become instantly addicted to them! I didn't think I would find something in Australia as close to what I ate in America but I think I have now found it. The Spicy Buffalo Wings were tender with a crispy skin and a subtle kick of spiciness. The cheese dip was able to mask a bit of the spiciness, and if you know me well I can't handle spiciness very well but these buffalo wings were not to hot. These buffalo wings were a little bit messy to eat and don't bother trying to look elegant when eating these- just get into it :P

Cheese Burger
A pub menu is never complete without the classic cheese burger! The cheese burger was exactly what you will expect from any cheese burger but it was so much more! The Stoned Crow cheese burger was trenched with a nice tangy sauce that tied the whole burger together.

Grilled Chilli Chicken Burger
The Stoned Crow burgers will definitely be a big hit in the burger scene, the Grilled Chilli Chicken Burger had a nice crunchy bite to it and the amount of chicken in it was very generous.

Thick cut chips
All I can say about these chips is that it was demolished in a few minutes after arriving to our table! You can never go wrong with a big bowl of crispy chips :P

Crispy Peking Duck Pizza
The Crispy Peking Duck was by far my favorite dish of the night! I love peking duck and pizza, and when you combine the two I knew I was in for a treat! There was a generous amount of peking duck and the plum sauce dressing was not too overwhelming and complimented all the elements on the pizza. The fresh cucumber gave a refreshing crunch to the pizza.
Overall, I really enjoyed the dining experience at The Stoned Crowed and it has definitely made it onto one of my top places to go to for good and hearty pub food! If you're around Broadway you better make sure to check of The Stoned Crow (166 Broadway, Chippendale).
A big thanks to Simon from The Huddle Group for the VIP invite, my friend and I had a great time! :)
Happy eating x
