What’s new Metalheads! I bring you today a fantastic Power Metal band from Greece called The Silent Rage, that is working on the pre-production of its first official album “Inner Scars”, which expected to be released fall 2014.
The Silent Rage band was born on February 2006 and it was formed by Nikos Siglidis (guitarist), the first line-up of the band was completed with Panos Labrou on lead guitar, Nikitas Papadonikolakis on bass and Vassilis Chamos on drums, and few months later, these guys released their first demo entitled “Perished In Flames” which contains four tracks.
After several changes until April 2009, the band established a new solid line-up with only remaining Nikos from the first line-up and recorded their first self titled EP, “The Silent Rage”, coming out on September of the same year. This EP received great response from the press locally and worldwide, and the band increased its reputation, at the same time, they achieved more shows and some of their songs were included in some Metal compilations.The Silent Rage EP contains five awesome tracks like “Perished In Flames”, “Leading The Legions” or the fantastic “Wings Of Tragedy”, and it’s a small sample of what we will find in the debut album “Inner Scars” which is coming soon.
In 2010 new line-up changes came into The Silent Rage life and four members left the band due to musical differences and studying issues. With a new line-up the band was selected to be the opening act for Shadow Gallery in Athens, and few months later, the band release the second EP entitled “Harvester Of Souls”.
In this second EP, these guys offer us three old songs re-arranged plus two new tracks high recommended. We can enjoy great songs like “Harvester Of Souls”, the amazing “Wings Of Tragedy” or the powerful “Inner Scars”. I think this is the prelude of a fantastic debut album which these guys are releasing soon!

After some new changes in the line-up in 2012 and a long search for the ideal singer for the band, finally Steve Venardo is the new vocalist of The Silent Rage, and at this moment these guys are working on “Inner Scars” album, which I hope we can enjoy soon.
Meanwhile, I invite you to listen Harvester Of Souls EP and I recommend you don’t miss this Greek Power metal band, I think they have really a fantastic sound!
