Sheer can be a tricky number to pull off, and if you're not brave at heart with your closet you might be tempted to ignore it all together. Not everyone is bold enough to stride out with her best lacy bra a-blazin' in the middle of the afternoon, but that doesn't mean you can't dabble in the trend. I, for example, can't imagine facing the barista while my black bra is all, "Hey, how's it going." Not for me. But lucky for us there are ways to style the sheer trend that doesn't revolve broadcasting your best delicates. Interested? Keep reading.
The answer lies in some clever layering. Sheer skirts don't need to go over bare legs; they could just as easily be popped over maxi dresses or flirty shift minis. Take this look for example: I was in the mood for a simple but slightly country look by pairing lace and denim together, and so I popped this sheer skirt on top of a denim maxi dress. As long as you keep the top neutral and fairly simple, the same could be done with any dress.
