The Rhodes Campaign is Nearly Over

By Davidduff

Yes indeed, after a lightning campaign which yesterday saw me driving around most of the Island looking mostly at ruins old and, courtesy of that criminal organisation, the EU, ruins all too contemporary, the day of my triumphal return is nigh, er, Wednesday to be exact.  Assuming SoD has organised the restructering of my good, old desk-top computer, I shall be able to give you a more detailed summary of my impression of Rhodes and its people.  However, I can give you a clue - I am considering selling up and moving here!

In the meantime I strust you have all raised a glass or three, or more, to toast Ukip's massive win.  Surely now the ratbags of Westminster will lift their snouts from the trough for long enough to hear the message.  Well, a man may dream, I suppose.  Also, of course, a loud 'vive la France' for their blonde bombshell who is yet another woman giving President Hollande a headache.

The next five to ten years are going to be very exciting for political junkies like me.  Mind you, by and large, when it comes to politics I prefer boring to exciting!  Anyway, must finish and get back to my duties facing non-stop sunshine and booze!
