So, as you may know, I love eating out. It’s probably one of my favorite past times, next to lounging by the pool or frolicking on the beach. I just love it. There’s something so very cool about getting ready, dressed up, and heading out on the road. There’s a lot of anticipation. There’s a lot of expectancy and eagerness. Will it be good? Will it be bad? Will they be nice? Will it be worth the money? How will it fare? So much to consider…
I’ve visited over 150 restaurants and food trucks in and out of the great state of Texas, but if I’m being honest, there are only a few places that I return to over and over with the same excitement as I did on day 1.
I wanted to take some time to celebrate the places that keep us coming back time and time again, so here we go. Let’s start out with my top two, the two that honestly, I could live off of if I had to. It would be a pleasure. The photos I chose are from various trips and were posted on my Instagram.
Pieous
Oh my gosh, I love Pieous. I love Pieous so much, I can hardly contain my love for Pieous. Neither can my husband, which is why time after time, on the rare occasion that we get to be by ourselves without our kiddo, we head out to this place for our coveted date nights.
Between the beautifully creative and crafted pizzas, and the TO DIE FOR pastrami, and I can’t forget that mozzarella plate that is set off with a side of their hot Soppressata, Pieous knows how to make people happy. Like, through the roof, ecstatic happy.
The Leaning Pear
Oh man. Where do I start? The Leaning Pear Café was one of my favorite places to grab a delicious sandwich or salad way back when I first moved to these parts, and since then, the place has grown tremendously.
They built an incredibly beautiful new restaurant, with modern and clean lines with a touch of rusticity. The food reflects our little neck of the woods, with super local, fresh and interesting combinations, as well as delicious takes on old favorites.
The staff, cooks, and the owners are all SO nice, and make each experience at The Leaning Pear memorable, and for all the right reasons.
What places do YOU keep going back to, time after time? Where do YOU tell people to go?
