"IMMA FINISH BY MIDNIGHT" says the author of this post on Snapchat. Great, now I'm stressed, I gave myself 25 minutes left to tell you bits and bobs about MAKE UP FOR EVER's new Pro Sculpt range. I certainly won't make it before midnight (after midnight disclaimer right there). You'll also have to pardon my severely chipped nails.
In a nutshell, the brow item is everything one needs for a precise natural brow and then some (with a waxier texture, a spoolie brush, and a highlight sponge bulb in the middle), the contour and color kit just works, and they were thoughtful to do both brow and face kits in several colorway intensities (4-5 shades for brow and contour items) according to depth of skin hue. The lipstick item I specifically left out for separate review because the one they gave me was red (items above were at the event). I also include gossmakeupartist's video tutorial for the use of the palette at the end of the post. Read on to see me try on the palette and brow pencil.
We'll start off the look with the Pro Sculpt Palette, I was given#20 palette which is the one with the lid closed.
MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Palette comes in four colorway intensities for different skin shades (#20, #30, #40, #50). I was given #20.
I have a funny feeling I'll be halfway through with this by the end of summer. The palette contains a matte sculpting highlighter, a stealthy taupe-ish deep contouring shade (which makes it look like you hired trained shadows to flank your face), a radiance highlighter, and cream blush or face color which I also used on my lips. First though, I contoured a bit using the dark shade. I did it in a subtle way since it was daytime.
Underneath the MUFE sculpting kit as a base I'm using Za White UV liquid foundation here. Za is no longer in the Philippines but I reviewed it here.
Then, I did a bit of highlighting with the matte light shade in the Pro Sculpt palette, over my nose. Then next I added some color to my cheeks using the peachy-ish shade. I didn't use the illuminating shade in this look but I tried it on my hand and the effect is similar to the poured BECCA Shimmering skin perfector in a compact.
I didn't just apply it on the cheeks I also used the blush shade on the lips, but you need to make sure your lips aren't dry for this to work. By the way, this as a lip shade from the palette is a really beautiful peachy nude. This cream color shade in the #30 Pro Sculpt palette gives off a similar peachy flush to Benefit Cha Cha tint, but in cream form. I just LOVE how it works for me on the lips, I wish I had a lipstick in this color.
It looks good with nearly everything on, but of course we're missing something. Brows!
These are not the shades I was given. Below I am using the #20 pencil for brows. The brow nib is a slanted one, making it almost like a triplet of the Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil and the Tom Ford Brow Sculptor pencil.
At first I was hoping they would give me the warm brown eyebrow shade which was 30 or 40 but in the end they gave me the perfect shade #20 which is a universally ashy but not too grey brown, kind of like the lighter sister of MAC Lingering. The shade #20 they chose for my brows to put in my blogger press basket was perfect.
Overall, I just loved how easy the products were to apply even if these qualify for frequent use in the professional makeup industry they're still extremely consumer friendly. There's also a VERY helpful paper inset inside the box of the sculpting palette which includes diagram face chart contouring guides for not just one but several face shapes!

This paper guide alone makes it worth the extra cost, believe me that manual is gold. Please note you can also go dark with these it just wouldn't have been flattering for a daytime shoot if I had pushed everything. The prices are for some reason not easy to find online and the press kit I was given only contained information for the Rebellious flowers Spring collection. I will edit in the Php prices once I track them down later today. By the way, I fell asleep before finishing this post and its 645am now, so much for the Cinderella deadline, haha. I'm including the more intense video tutorial application of Goss Makeup Artist using the Pro Sculpt Palette below for your viewing pleasure click here or below to watch.
