Acai berries & grapes smoothies

Replace two meals per day with smoothies that are substantial and nourishing. I'm particularly loving my smoothies breakfasts as they're the perfect meals on the go during busy mornings. I got a Tefal soup maker at home that serves double duties as a smoothie maker so that comes in really handy! Here's one of my favourite smoothies recipe:

Frozen grapes x around 15 pieces Frozen bananas x 3 Coconut yoghurt x 3 tablespoon Acai berry juice x 100ml Rolled oats x 3 tablespoon Organic honey x 1 tablespoon

You'll need:

Just blend everything in your smoothie maker & viola!

The superfood acai berries are simply perfect for post holiday detox being rich in antioxidants to repair cells, high in fatty acids for healthy nervous system and also rich in amino acid for boosting energy level. Combined with the goodness of grapes that are low GI food, you'll get all the energy you need to battle post holiday blues!

♥ Say nameste

Nothing else works better than yoga to stretch those legs after being trapped in a shoe-box space for hours during your flights. Dedicate one hour to 90 minutes a day to your yoga practice. Yoga works so well for me to fit in my busy schedule as I can just practice at home if miss my yoga class. Just light up some scented candles, choose a peaceful music playlist on Spotify, silent all your modern technology devices and dim the light - creating a yoga retreat at home is easier than you think! Dedicating an hour to the routine also means having a mini digital detox every day to recover from over-Instagramming and over-Tweeting during your travel.

♥ At-home foot spa

1. Soak those bad boys with your favourite bath soak in warm water. I love DIY my own with fresh lemon, ginger and lemongrass essential oils. 2. Scrub your feet with a dry body brush. 3. Enjoy a reflexology treatment with a foot massager. 4. Glam up those tiny teny toes with pedicure is optional - but make sure you use toxin-free nail polish if you do get them done (I put together a list of toxin-free nail polish brands here). 5. Finish off with massaging your feet with jojoba oil and slip into a pair of cotton socks.

Don't forget to show some love to your worn-out travel feet with an indulging at-home foot spa routine! Here's how-to:

♥ DIY Coffee Scrub

Lavender & honey coffee body scrub

I've chatted to a few natural beauty experts to get their most loved DIY skincare recipes here on the blog. The one that I found work best for post holiday treatment is this lavender and honey body scrub. The smell is simply heavenly and takes you straight back to Southern France! It helps to stimulate blood flow and has an amazing anti-inflammatory effect to calm your post travel skin if it's gone a bit sensitive with change in climate.

2 tsp coffee grounds A sprig of lavender flowers Few drops tea tree oil 1 tsp raw honey 1 tsp fresh olive oil

You'll need:

Keep it in an air tighter glass container in the fridge and it's good for around two weeks.

♥ Stay in for the weekend

For us introverted girls, over-socialising is exhausting at times! As I've previously confessed in this post about my introverted soul, it's not that I dislike interacting with people. In fact, I love meeting the locals while travelling. The thing is, we introverted girls also need time to connect with ourselves, to retreat and find time that's dedicated to me and myself. Even if you aren't an introvert, try staying in for a weekend after you return from your travel will really help to restore your inner peace. The last thing you need is another big Friday night to drain your energy further! There're simply too many ideas to make a stay-in weekend fun - go re-watch the complete season of Sex And The City if you feel like it, no one's judging you!
