The Good Ol’ Invisible Illnesses

It’s hard to be diagnosed with an invisible disease. People automatically think you are fine because you look “ok” to them so they tend to expect more from you. All that we can do is try to explain it to our loved ones the best way we can and give them some information on the topic. You will soon find out who will be there for you and who won’t. Appreciate the ones that do, because not many will. The doctors say ”don’t stress, it just makes matters worse” But how can we not stress?

How do you stay positive–when you’re seeing nothing but negative?

How can you be the perfect mommy–when you don’t really have the energy to play?

How can you maintain friendships–when you can’t do the fun things that you used to do?

How can you maintain a relationship?

How can you maintain your job?

How do you still feel beautiful? I have come to the realization that I can’t change what happens to me, but I refuse to be reduced by it. It isn’t easy! I am lucky enough to have the support of family which helps a great deal. It hasn’t always been like that though, I have had many ups and downs throughout my life without the support of others. I was in denial for the longest time, but that got me nowhere fast. If there is someone you think you may be able to talk to then please do so! It really does make a difference. This has been the most eye opening experience for me. And at the end of this journey Ill have an amazing testimony. Until then  I’ll be doing what I do best. I’m still DarcSunshine, Just a little stronger, that’s all.
