Sure, we can all search online for numbers we might need in an emergency, but trawling through Google pages to find the relevant ones also takes up time. It’s far better to be totally in control and have a list of numbers in your phone just in case of a crisis. Today we’re going to give you a definitive list for the serious emergencies such as health, fire, and crime. But also some of those minor emergencies you might not think of when you need a number, such as banks, locksmiths, and tow trucks. Here’s the girl’s guide to creating a little black book of essential numbers to keep in your cell.

In Case Of Emergency

One of the most important apps you should get on your phone is ICE. This stands for In Case of Emergency. And it enables you to store your next of kin and any medical allergies and medications directly onto your screensaver. This means if you are in an accident or have a medical issue, first responders will be able to access the info without having to unlock your cell. We all know the number of the emergency services, but you should also save your local doctor, local hospital and veterinary clinic in your cell too, for quick access if needed. It’s also worth getting the number for your local fire and police department for extra safety, alongside the national number. And along with your Mom and Dad’s numbers, keep a couple of close friend’s parent’s numbers in your cell just in case you need to call them. And of course, your health insurance provider’s number too. One more thing to remember – if you are traveling abroad make sure you know the national number for emergencies as this can vary from country to country. Always save the relevant emergency number for the destination you are in.

Home And Car Dramas

If you have car recovery insurance, make sure to keep the number alongside your policy code in your cell. If you don’t have this type of insurance, keep a local tow truck service and a car garage in the phone too, just in case you break down and need assistance. The same goes for a reliable plumber, electrician, local handyman and a locksmith. And in the case of fraud or lost bank cards, make sure you have the number of your bank and also the number on the back of your credit cards, saved to your cell. If they get stolen, you can then call immediately to cancel everything. Also, make sure to exchange numbers with your neighbors. If there are any minor emergencies in the home and you’re not there, they can call you, and vice versa.

Beauty Dramas

Not strictly emergencies, but they can certainly feel like it when you have an important party to go to! For any last minute waxing, threading, manicures or blowouts, always keep a list of trusted beauty therapists and hairdresser numbers in your phone. Who knows, you could be invited to a super chic cocktail party and only have a couple of hours to prepare. A trusted beautician will help get you into tip top shape in no time.
