The Best Cocktails in Birmingham?

Following on a few months ago from a Buzzfeed article detailing the best individual cocktails in Birmingham, I too had a think about my favorite cocktails in Birmingham, not the bars but the individual cocktails themselves. Favourite cocktails I think, are very much about individual taste preferences, so everyones lists would most likely be quite different. I for one am probably quite picky – I’m not hugely keen on ‘berry’ flavours in drinks and similarly I don’t often drink ‘dark’ spirits so my list will certainly reflect this. So if. like me, your firmly in the tropical,citrussy white spirit based drinks camp, then this may be the list for you! Come with me, it’s a pretty long list….. In no particular order:

1. ABERCROMBIE ZOMBIE at THE EDGBASTON: White Aged & Overproofed Rum, Fresh Citrus, Caramelised Passion Fruit & Caribbean Spices.

2. PASSION FRUIT AND BASIL CRUSH at THE BOTANIST: Amaretto Disaronno and Drambuie churned with basil, fresh passion fruit, passion fruit syrup, orange juice and lime 3. THE ROAD TO PUERTO PLATA at THE LOST AND FOUND: Rum, Koko Kanu, Mango Pureé, lime, vanilla syrup & Soda 4. COX’S GRAVE SPINNER at GAS STREET SOCIAL – Carta Blanca Rum, Lime & Spiced Mango Reduction 5. THE BOTANIST at THE BOTANIST: Green Mark vodka, Havana 3 rum, elderflower liqueur, red amaranth, mint, jasmine syrup and lime juice topped with lemonade
