Hi,

I'm only on week one of the diet at the moment as I registered to this site but didn't start until a week later. So far it's been excellent. Lost 7 lbs (3 kg) and my wife has lost 4 lbs (1.5 kg). The recipes are very nice and the information is great. My only downside to the diet is I have very little energy. I do a lot of running and racing. I'll carry on this next week by going back over the email you have sent me. Thanks for a great site.

Chris from Wales, U.K.

I am a 71-year-old female who wanted to lose about 15 lbs (7 kg) and two inches (5 cm) around the waist. I lost 4 lbs (1.5 kg) and no inches. The food was great. Really appreciated the shopping lists. I am planning on continuing until I hit my goal. Will be looking for how to maintain. I signed up for the free trial membership.

My name is Heather Murphy and I live in the UK. Ever since I was in my twenties I have struggled with my weight. I have tried various diets without success and often, whatever I lost I gained with interest. Diets failed because I was bored with the food, or depriving myself of the things I liked best and was often miserable and hungry. I resigned myself to always being overweight. Matters came to a head a year ago (aged 52) when I was signed off work with stress and visited my doctor.

This was the first time I had visited my doctor for at least 10 years and I had never met her before. She was kind and understanding and took mental health matters seriously. After a series of blood tests, Dr Bohmer recommended the LCHF way of eating and directed me to the Dietdoctor website. By this time, I had ballooned to 130 kg (287 lbs) - my heaviest ever. I listened in disbelief as what was being advocated was in direct contrast to what I had been told time and again over the years. However, she convinced me to give it a go and I felt I had nothing to lose. It sounded too good to be true - eat all the things I had been told had caused the weight gain and reduce carbohydrates.

I felt energised for the first time in years.

I signed up for the 2-week challenge and found myself enjoying meals and looking forward to cooking the recipes. By the end of the first week, I lost 3 kg (7 lbs). As the weeks went on, I felt energised for the first time in years. Tiredness was no longer an issue, bloating and heartburn ceased. I felt better than ever.

Now, one year on, I have lost a total of 50 kg (110 lbs). Recent blood tests show normal levels of sugar and my BMI is below 30. I have never become disheartened or bored because the recipes are easy, delicious and include my favourite ingredients - butter, cheese and cream! On average, I have lost 0.5 - 1 kg (1-2 lbs) a week. However, there have been times when weight-loss stalled. At these times, I found following a week of dairy-free recipes often kickstarted the weight-loss again. There was also a pattern of not losing weight the week before and during menstruation.

I couldn't have achieved this without the support of my doctor, family and close friends and neighbours, who continually encouraged me. I enjoy cycling and aquarobics regularly now and am far more confident in public. Thank you, Diet Doctor! I can't envisage ever changing the way I eat in the future. I still have about another 5 kg (11 lbs) to lose but I know I will achieve my goal.

Good day,

My name is Ronica I am 38 years old and I live in Mosselbay, South Africa. Thank you for the amazing 2-week challenge. I lost 7.2 kg (15 lbs) and 14 cm (5.5 inches) around my waist. I love the keto diet, it's a life changer and I feel really great. I like the 2-week challenge so much that I'm doing it again for round 2.

Hi.

Loved it! Had great meal ideas. My favorite tip was making enough for dinner to have for lunch the next day. That tip alone made the whole challenge less stressful. Thank you for the AWESOME content!

Cheers,
Janine
