Thankful For: Harry Potter

Thankful For: Harry PotterHarry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by JK Rowling
I'm sure a lot this book changed a lot of people's reading habits, but it's by far one of my all time favorite books. I wasn't much of a reader when I was younger, but once I got my hands on Harry I had to read the rest of the series. Then I had to read anything that was like it. Then I also had to read anything and everything that wasn't like it. Rowling definitely changed my life with this book; she spawned my reading habits, made me a lover of books, and gave me a sense of belonging.
I'm an only child, so I spent a lot of time alone and I really connected with Harry, and sort of adopted his character as my friend, along with Ron and Hermione. When they went on adventures, I went on adventures. So thank you JK Rowling for making my childhood a little less lonely.
