Take Photos with the Galaxy K Zoom

Posted on the 17 June 2014 by Anna Peterson

Samsung seems to be set on producing a perfect camera phone, which is the reason why the company’s going to release a new smartphone very soon, called the Samsung Galaxy K Zoom.

Samsung Galaxy K Zoom

The K Zoom should become available really soon.

Samsung’s new camera phone was announced in April, and it will come with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of built-in storage, easily expandable via a microSD card (up to 64GB). The device will run Android 4.4.2 KitKat and have an 4.8in display with a good pixel density (~306ppi). It’s clear that Samsung did everything it could to give its users a better user experience: the Galaxy K Zoom is only slightly thicker than standard smartphones and it weighs 200 grams. The specs are okay, but the main camera is what makes this phone special.

A Brilliant Main Camera

The 20.7MP camera

The K Zoom has a fantastic 20.7-megapixel camera, with a 10x optical zoom lens and OIS. Samsung claims that this camera will allow its users to take very professional-looking photos. The 2-megapixel front-facing shooter is nothing to write home about, especially if you have in mind the main camera, but it’s still good enough for everyday use.

The Selfie Alarm and Other Features

Whether you like or dislike selfies and the selfie trend, you have to admit that selfies have become extremely popular as of late and that there’s definitely a large number of users looking for mobile phones that can take perfect selfies, which is why Samsung focused on fulfilling this wish and creating a phone with – you guessed it – selfies in mind.

The Selfie Alarm feature

Perfect for taking selfies!

The so-called Selfie Alarm is a feature that allows you to choose which area of the frame you want your face to appear in – your phone will alert you with a sound when your face is in a good position for taking a selfie and then take a picture a couple of seconds later. Not a bad idea, Samsung. Selfie enthusiasts will certainly enjoy this feature.

Other useful features include Beauty Face, Panorama, etc. Remember that it is also possible to add more modes, such as Kids Shot, Light Trace and Sunset, etc. thanks to the Manage Modes panel.
