Taco Lasagna - Non-Vegetarian

Taco Lasagna - Non-Vegetarian

Ingredients

    • 1 Pound ground Beef
    • 1/2 cup chopped green Pepper
    • 1/2 cup chopped Onion
    • 2/3 cup Water
    • 1 envelope taco Seasoning
    • 1 can rinsed and drained black Beans
    • 1 can petite diced Tomatoes
    • 6 large flour Tortillas
    • 1 can refried Beans
    • 4 cups Mexican blend Cheese
    • Chopped Cilantro leaves
    • Sour Cream

How to make Taco Lasagna

Step 1: In a skillet, brown the beef, green pepper and onion until onions and peppers are soft and meat is no longer pink. Step 2: Add water and taco seasoning, then simmer for 5 minutes. Step 3: Stir in tomatoes and black beans, then simmer for 10 minutes more. Step 4: Put 2 tortillas in a greased pan, then spread half of the refried beans, then half of the meat mixture and 1 cup of cheese. Step 5: Place the tortilla shell over it, then again repeat the layers of refried beans, meat mixture and cheese. Step 6: Top with tortilla shells and cheese, then cover with foil and bake until cheese is melted. Step 7: Garnish with cilantro and top with sour cream.
