Sweet Corn Kheer 

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 20-25 minutes

Serves: 2

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup or 2 no Sweet corn
  • 500 ml Full cream milk
  • Sugar to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee
  • 2-3 tablespoon chopped dry fruits as per your choice
  • 1/4 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
  • Few strand of Saffron

Preparation:

  • Wash the sweet corns carefully.
  • Grate or blend the sweet corns into a fine paste/pulp/cream.
  • Place milk on flame for boiling.
  • Add 2-3 tablespoon of milk in saffron and keep it aside.


Method:

  1. Heat ghee in a Heavy bottom pan and allow it to melt.
  2. Add sweet corn paste/pul/cream in pan and cook on low-medium flame.
  3. Keep stirring continuously.
  4. When there is change in color and ghee starts separating from pulp/paste/cream.
  5. Reduce the flame and add the milk, mix roasted sweet corn pulp/paste and milk well.
  6. Now add chopped dry fruits and saffron in milk and keep stirring after regular intervals.
  7. Within 10-12 minutes, when kheer gets thick in consistency and is ready.
  8. Add sugar and cardamom powder in kheer and cook for 2-3 more minutes.
  9. Turn off the flame and serve kheer in a bowl.
  10. Garnish with finely chopped dry fruits.
