Having finally tried my first Ciate nail polish, I have to say I’m impressed. I decided to start with Looking Glass – a beautiful silver linear holo nail polish. It comes in a cute, albeit weirdly shaped bottle with a black bow on it. The bottle contains 13.5ml and retails for 9gbp.
The formula is pretty good – the nail polish went on evenly, but the brush gave me a bit of trouble. I have no idea why, because it is normal brush – just like a bunch of others, but somehow it just didn’t sit well in my hand.
Here you can see how it looks with two coats, no base or top coat.
Ciate Looking Glass is sheer in one coat, but the second makes it almost opaque. It is packed with holographic glitter and, even though the holographic effect is pretty weak (at least compared to Color Club), it is no less impressive. There’s something about it that makes it stand out in my collection and I’m considering buying a back-up.
