Even though it is not fall yet, the weather feels very much like it, so I decided to pull out one of the nicest nail polish surprises ever – A England nail polish in Briarwood.
Whenever I buy indie or any nail polish brand that I don’t have readily available in stores, the main source of everything about a nail polish are blog swatches which may vary a lot and it is up to you to decide which one looks most similar to the nail polish in reality. Sometimes I end up pretty disappointed. But not this time.
When I first saw Briarwood, I was very unimpressed – a boring reddish brown. I bought it only because Briar Rose and Rose Bower from Burne Jones Dream collection seemed too similar (they are not). It looked boring even in the bottle – it took me almost a year to finally wear it and I regret not trying it sooner.
Briarwood is a beautiful reddish brown weak linear holo with almost a duochrome quality to it. It is a very nice fall color – on the nails the nail polish brings images of drying leaves under awarm autumn sun. It is absolutely stunning.
A England’s nail polishes are in general one-coaters, but this one surpasses all of my A Englands in terms of pigmentation. Just one thin coat is fully opaque (which is what I used on these photos).
