Anyone looking for skincare on a serious budget should hotfoot it down to their nearest Superdrug!
They have some pretty decent products in their own brand range at very decent prices. A Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanse and Polish dupe (practically), moisturisers, you name it! Now, I can't say that the products are miracle workers, mostly you get what you pay for. However, they do function well and I'm not turning my nose up!
A while ago I purchased this serum as I felt it was a step that was missing from my skincare regime, but didn't fancy spending a bomb on something I wasn't convinced worked or that I'd keep up. I chose the oil balancing one as although I suffer from eczema, my face gets shiny throughout the day, which is not how I like it to look. I'm a fully paid up member of the matte look make up club and don't subscribe to the dewy party. You will not find me without a mattifying product in my handbag, be it powder, blotting papers or Laura Mercier Secret Finish.
Not only has this convinced me it works, but I like it so much I've actually kept it going for several months now, which is a commitment!
This has a very light, creamy consistency and sinks in incredibly quickly. My skin feels moisturised, but not heavily so and the shine is kept at bay for much longer than before.
I have to say, for the cost, the results are great! Purse friendly *and* face friendly! I'm looking forward to giving a few of the other products a go.
