Hair & Beauty Magazine
Here is the third post in my Summer series of collaborations and today I am collaborating with Amy from AmyJWalters.blogspot.co.uk so make sure you head over to her blog and check out her post too. All names of products have links where to buy them from and if I have posted a review on the product I will link it, for products that are scheduled for review I will come back and add the links in once the review is posted. Onto my essential makeup items for summer!
Rimmel Exaggerate Eye Primer £4.49Witch Anti-Blemish Skin Clearing Primer £6.99
Primer:With the weather getting hotter primer is essential to ensure your makeup stays on as long as possible. In summer I tend to not where as much makeup because I don't like the feel of having makeup on my face when it is hot, but when I do these are two of my favorite priming products! I also love the Rimmel Face Primer, but I am not going to repurchase until I have used this Witch Primer. This Witch Primer is also great because it helps prevent breakouts.
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer £25 (review)CHANEL Soleil Tan de Chanel £31Bronzer:
I love using bronzer in the Summer to enhance my tan and make me look slightly less ghostly! This is also great to deepen the shade of your foundation if it is starting to look to light and I just love the bronzed look for Summer. These two are my all time favorite bronzers! I love the Too Faced bronzer for contouring and I love the CHANEL bronzer for all over the face and especially in the Summer as it matches my skin tone better.
MUA Power Pouts £3Clinique Chubby Stick £16 (review)No7 High Shine Lip Crayon £9.00 (review)
Lip CrayonsI think these are a definite must have this Summer! They will moisturise your lips whilst adding gorgeous, subtle and high shine color. I love a more sheer and glossy lip product for the Summer and I think these are definitely my lip product of choice for Summer, they are exactly what I want. And with so many brands with different price points and colours there is one to suit everyone's budget.
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder £3.99 (review)
Powder:Like primer, powder is definitely another essential for me to keep my oily skin under control and my makeup in place! I could not live without powder, especially in the warmer months. This Rimmel powder is great because it is Translucent which is great for all year round and it keeps my skin matte for a long time.
MAC Paintpots £15.00Maybelline Colour Tattoos £4.99(comparison post)
Cream EyeshadowI prefer the more natural look in Summer and so I prefer to use cream products. I especially love cream eyeshadow and these two are my definite favourites, they have some extremely gorgeous colours and they are very effortless, you can just apply all over the lid with your finger, no brushes, and you're ready to go! The Maybelline Colour Tattoos in particular are very long wearing especially in the heat making them perfect for summer.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer £4.19MAC Pro Longwear Concealer £15.50 (review)
Concealer:I tend to go foundation free in Summer and just wear concealer on any breakouts or scarring because it gives a more natural look, and when I go on holiday I just apply some in the evening. I also must give a special mention to the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer which is my all time favourite(I need to repurchase this in duty free) because it takes A LOT to get this off! Although it doesn't claim to be waterproof it stayed on all day even in the swimming pool last year on holiday.
Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner £7.99
Gel Eyeliner:Because it is gel based this makes this pretty much waterproof which means that it is long lasting and will stay on on the beach or round the swimming pool and also when you are very hot this will stay which is great! Especially if you are an eyeliner addict like myself.
Maybelline The Falsies Waterproof Mascara £7.99 (review)
Waterproof Mascara:Is you best friend on holiday, this won't go anywhere, and better still you can apply it in the morning and it will last all day even when you go in the pool/sea which means you can still have great looking lashes. Waterproof mascara also holds curls in your lashes better which is an added bonus. This is my favorite waterproof mascara because it is super waterproof but can be removed fairly easily with eye makeup remover.
Benefit High Beam £19.50 (review)
Highlighter:Another one of my essentials because I love the bronzed and glowy look and highlighter is one of the key essentials in this. I love Benefit High Beam although I will probably purchase one of the dupes when this sample runs out because I can't fork out £19.50 for this when there is a £5 alternative from MeMeMe. This is super natural and I love that it is a cream formula because this makes it look more natural.
So those are my Summer essentials! Make sure you go and check Amy's post out too!
