This image, from a Suffolk wedding at Helmingham Hall in the summer, photographed with the wonderful Jo Killingworth Photography, illustrates one of my favorite wedding traditions. I love the throwing of confetti, everyone gets involved, young and old and it never fails to raise a few cheers and smiles. It is a tradition that has it’s origins in Italy and is intended to bestow prosperity and fertility upon the happy couple. Natural petals, as seen in this image, are my favourite! Drying flower petals for confetti, as part of your own DIY wedding project, is relatively simple to do and looks great in your wedding photographs. More to come from this sunny Suffolk wedding soon!
