Love is in the hair, thanks to my beloved Dollar Shave Club. You’re probably thinking to yourself, “What in the world is this girl even talking about right now?” Well, if you remember back to February when my husband decided to order me the monthly Dollar Shave Club subscription service for razors and other shaving help, like their amazing Dr. Carver’s Easy Shave Butter, then you’ll also remember that I fell in love with it.
“But Katie, Dollar Shave Club is for men, right?” You know what I say that? “So? So what? Who cares if it’s a boys only club? I don’t care!” I was sick of paying HEB and other drug stores top dollar for more crappy razors, or get a good one, but dang those are expensive. Seriously. Have you looked recently? It’s like over $15 for a refill pack of blades for a non-disposable razor blade cartridge. Psh… No thanks, HEB. Good day, sir. GOOD DAY!
So, you know what? I agreed to Michael’s suggestion of subscribing to the Dollar Shave Club. No harm. No foul. And as it turns out, DSC is a whole heck of a lot cheaper. In fact, you will actually save roughly $100/year using this service, and that’s awesome.
As you may also remember, I ended up deciding to go with their 4x razor out of the 4 options they provide, mostly because the description says that the ladies love it too. So, being that I’m a lady and all, it just seemed like the most appropriate choice.
So here’s a more detailed low-down on the 4x subscription:

So here I am, starting in on my 3rd box of the 4x razor blade refills, and I’m more pleased than I was from the first try. I’m actually extremely obsessed with the products, and continue to have nothing but excellent experiences with Dollar Shave Club and their line up of goodies.
So why am I back again, raving about the Dollar Shave Club? I’ll tell you why.
Because they are unbelievably cool, and sent my husband a box of their brand spankin’ new hair product line, Style by Boogie.

We were taken aback, and completely caught off guard and beyond overjoyed that they sent him these goodies to test out for no reason other than they wanted him to use them, see what he thinks, find his match and share with his friends.
Well, guess what? I want to share it with all of you. No, I don’t have to, and it wasn’t even sent to ME, but I am just obsessed with these folks and my hubby’s hair was looking dang fine after testing out the goods.

Product 2: Boogie’s Smart Hair Paste

- Adjustable throughout the day
- Takes direction well

The Hair Paste gets it. Malleable and understanding, it takes direction perfectly. Ideal for textured styles on hair of any length. Readjust freely as you put it all into place.

So far, I am super impressed with the quality of the products, and I know Michael is too. He’s getting a lot of fun in trying each of the different “flavors,” if you will, and is actually able to notice a difference between each type. Plus, they smell so good. SO GOOD.
That’s a bonus to me, since there’s SOME products out there that just smell way too strong. Like teenaged boy strong. Like Axe or Bod Man strong. These though…
They’re all very fresh, clean, light and yet still masculine. The smells don’t linger in any way that may clash with a cologne or whatever other fragrance you may choose to wear, but they leave you feeling clean, and confident.

I love the way he’s been styling his hair with the Boogie’s stuff, and the way the product looks just natural as heck on him. What I mean is, there’s no crust, no caking, no crispy look. The hair looks like hair; like really good hair. Like, awesome hair day all the time hair. Michael gives Dollar Shave Club’s Boogie’s hair products an A+, and I will go ahead and deliver 2 thumbs up as well.
