Strawberry Fields Patisserie (dulwich Hill)

By Takeeatfoodblog
I first saw a picture of one of Strawberry Field Patisserie's cakes on Dessertified's instagram (@dessertified- everyone follow him, he's the king of desserts! http://dessertified.com/ ) I never knew there was such a delicious looking and tasting patisserie in Dulwich Hill!

Strawberry Fields Patisserie is located on New Canterbury Road and is around a 15-20 minute drive from the City. There is 3 hour free car park right next to it- yay for free parking!  The patisserie is small shop that has a large cake cabinet shining right at you as you walk in. You can also see into the kitchen to see the pastry chefs create these beautiful desserts! My friend and I wanted to order EVERYTHING! All the cakes and tarts looked so appealing and perfectly made. We ended up ordering 3 cakes/ tarts-
Lemon Meringue Tart, 'Strawberry Fields Forever'- Strawberry tart and Lindt chocolate mousse.

The desserts are a little bit more on the expensive side, they are roughly around $5-7. However, they are extremely tasty and worth the amount you pay.

Lindt chocolate mousse
The Lindt mousse cake was my favorite one out of the 3 we chose. The mousse was extremely smooth and creamy, it melted in your mouth instantly! The base was soft and fluffy chocolate cake. You can ever go wrong with Lindt chocolate!

Lemon Meringue Tart
I love all things lemon, I have eaten many lemon meringue tarts in my life time as a foodie and I've got to say this wasn't the best one I have eaten because of the meringue on top. There was not enough sugar in it so it tasted like plastic and was very bland in flavor. However, the lemon and pastry was on spot! The lemon filling was not too sour, it had the perfect balance of acidity and sweetness to make it very enjoyable to eat.

Strawberry Fields Forever |  Fruit tart | $4.20
At first my friend and I ordered the lemon meringue tart and lindt chocolate mousse but my friend decided to order the strawberry tart because she said it was kind of weird not to order it since we were at STRAWBERRY fields patisserie :P I'm very glad she ended up ordering it because the strawberries were extremely sweet and the combination of the filling and pastry made it into a cracker of a dessert! The pastry was light and flaky and the custard filling gave it a nice texture.
Picture Overall, I really enjoyed the desserts at Strawberry Fields Patisserie, you can definitely tell a lot of care and effort was put into each and every single dessert in that cabinet. They also serve savoury pastries like sausage rolls and quiches, which I definitely want to go back and try! :)
