Hello all and a Happy New Year!! This is my first post of 2013 and the first post since the blog became a .com! Very exciting.
Anyway, if all this dull and dreary wet weather is making you long for the Summer holidays then I may have found the answer. If you are sick of looking pale and washed out like me, fake tan it the quickest and easiest way to make yourself look and feel better. And, with St Tropez retailing at over £20 a bottle, I want something that does the same job but for half the price. A dupe if you will.
And I have found it. St Moriz is an incredibly cheap fake tan that although looks like it would be awful, is surprisingly not. It has no fake tan smell at all (unlike St Tropez), in fact it has quite a nice scent. The mist version I have is much better than my St Tropez one, which although it promises instant colour, it is very light on me and not worth the trouble. This however gives a lovely golden tan that isn’t orange or too dark for my skin and I love it.
It is easy to apply, simply spray on and buff into the skin a tanning mitt. It dries almost instantly so you can get dressed and go out no problem, although I tend to apply mine at night so it can develop, as it can take around 4 hours for the shade to settle, then simply shower and all excess colour will run away leaving you with holiday skin. It is so easy! If you want a darker tan, re-apply after 2 days so it looks deeper but if not, this lasts 5 days at least before I re-applied more. It didn’t go too patchy and didn’t dry my skin out. I also found it fine to use on my face, but do be careful if you have super sensitive skin.
Just spray a tiny amount onto the mitt and gently buff into the face and you should be left with a nice glow. No Oompa-Loompa in sight!
Not only is it amazing to use, it is also amazingly cheap. You can (if you hunt) pick up a bottle for around £1.99, but the most you will pay is a fiver. Bargain. I also want to try the mousse version as my St Tropez one has now run out.
So next time you see this, don’t pass by, pick it up and you will be very pleasantly surprised!
