You may have seen that there has been a huge increase in spam hitting this site recently. I have complained to TypePad and they indicate that they have noticed an increase across all of their customers' sites and that "they are working hard" to eliminate it. What irritates is that their own anti-spam system only catches about 5% of what hits but it still manages to put the likes of poor Michael in the spam-box quite regularly - but at least he has company 'in jail' because frequently my comments are in there with him!
If the situation gets much worse then I may consider going to "comments moderated" where I can check everything before they are published. That would be a pity because I like the immediacy of the conversational tone we have here.
Anyway, I'll see what happens and let you know.
