Someone Please Call 911!

By Dreamchasa101 @dreamchasa101
Aside from me continuing to drink, things were going pretty well while staying at my girlfriend's place until one morning when all hell broke loose. It was approximately 11:00 a.m. on a Friday and her and I had gotten into an argument about something very petty. I would tell what it was but it's really not necessary. Eventually, she told me to leave her apartment, but I told her no. I wouldn't leave because I had a handful of personal belongings over there - some of the only stuff I had to my name - and I wasn't going to let her just kick me out on the street and hold my things hostage all because I said something she didn't like or agree with. I told her that I would leave, but that she needed to give me a chance to get my things together and call for a ride. After she saw that I wasn't going leave right then and there, she began to get violent. She walked up to me and start pushing and hitting me, which she had done before (because she was mad I had gotten so drunk), but this time it was a lot worse.

Someone Please Call 911!

I had never seen her this mad before.

When I looked into her eyes, I saw a look I hadn't ever seen on her before; a look of pure evil, anger and rage. I tried to grab her and calm her down, but I had no luck. She had already scratched my face and put a cut on my chest (that I still have to this day), and when I tried to grab her hands to stop her from hitting me, she bit me on my forehead! It didn't break the skin, but at that time I realized I was going to have to call for help. I had two cell phones - a primary one on contract and secondary one with minutes. I picked up my secondary phone and called 911. I had thought about calling 911 the second time she had jumped on me (in the past) but I didn't because I was drunk at the time it happened. I couldn't risk the police coming and me being drunk because of the fact that I was still on probation and wasn't supposed to be drinking at all. That time, when I told her I was going to call the police on her, she told me that the police weren't going to believe me anyway because I was drunk. Fortunately for me, this time I hadn't drank anything that morning or the night before. I was actually 100% sober.
My girlfriend really messed it up for herself when I was on the phone with the 911 operator because she grabbed the phone out of my hand and broke it in half. Thank God I was able to tell them where I was before she broke it.

When the police arrived, they came into the apartment and observed the scene. They saw that I had scratches on my face, a bite mark on my forehead, and that my cell phone had been broken in half. They also saw that my girlfriend didn't have a scratch on her. They then proceeded to handcuff her, put her in the back of the police car and take her to jail. It was a little funny because even the police had a hard time calming her down and getting her in the police car. They described her as a "pretty strong girl" - as she put up a bit of resistance - which she was. My sister later described her as "husky," which I think is a pretty accurate description of her physique. Aside from the assault, the police told me they could have taken her to jail on the simple fact that she purposely broke communication while I was calling 911 for help.
After that, I gathered my things and called one of my friends to pick me up and take me back to my parents house. My parents couldn't believe what happened but were glad that I was okay. They were also glad that I was back living with them because they told me that with my current circumstances, it was the best place for me to regroup. This was the end of my relationship with my girlfriend. We didn't talk again for over a year after the incident.
