My dear friend shouted me a belated 21st birthday lunch at Sokyo at The Star. I have always wanted to try out this place after seeing so many photos of the dishes on Instagram! To my surprise it was actually quite affordable dining there and I'm thankful that my friend didn't have to rake out $$$ just for a lunch :P The lunch special was $45pp, which a three course set menu where you choose one option from three categories: sashimi, tempura and hot dishes. Miso soup and mixed green salad come as a side with your order.
Each dish was carefully crafted together and the uniqueness of each dishes flavours was like nothing I have ever eaten. The whole dining experience was absolutely enjoyable from the super friendly service to the delicately made dishes. I definitely recommend that you try out Sokyo at least once in your lifetime, you won't regret it- just treat yourself :)
Happy eating x
