I mentioned this product briefly in a previous post and thought I should give it more airtime and explain what it is and why I am loving it…
Peaches and Clean is a 4-in-1 deep cleansing milk from my favourites Soap & Glory. It is a fairly thick lotion that melts away make-up along with soothing and purifying the skin, whilst brightening your complexion. The packaging is great as always and the product really works. I use this around 4 times a week to remove my make up at night, by using two pumps of product massaged over the skin (don’t use it on the eyes, it is not designed for eye make up) and then I use a flannel or muslin cloth to gently buff away all the muck and make up that is left on my face from a hard day (ha!).
It has really unique but delicious scent, sort of like a menthol peach smell, that boosts the skin and helps it feel really clean afterwards. I have found it great for my oily skin, as it is gentle and doesn’t contain anything too harsh but it is suitable for all skin types. One thing I have noticed people complaining about this product is the fact that it may make your skin ‘photosensitive’ which basically means your skin can react badly the sun. But really, your skin doesn’t react well to the sun anyway, hence burning so you should always look after your skin and wear sunscreen so this just seems like an overreaction to me. However, if you are worried don’t use this. If your skin is already over sensitive I would look elsewhere for something similar, but this doesn’t bother me as I am always very careful in the sun.
So, back to the positives. This smells great, works wonders for the skin in terms of cleansing and de-clogging pores and it is a pretty affordable price. I have had mine for over a month and I haven’t even used a quarter of it yet.
Available from Soap & Glory online and Boots. Priced £7.00.
