I first saw the Sleek Oh So Special palette on Charlotte’s blog, Lipglossiping.com. When I saw what a lovely combination of colors it had and more importantly how many matte shades there were I knew this was a keeper…and certainly OH SO SPECIAL. The Sleek Oh So Special palette consists of 12 shades, 7 of which are matte, the rest are metallic shimmer shades. The 7 matte shades are Bow, Pamper, Ribbon, The Mail, Boxed, Wrapped Up, and Noir.
My arm swatches aren’t as great as Charlotte’s, her shot is more clear and quite in your face, but my photo succeeds at least in proving, once again, how pigmented Sleek eyeshadows are.
In case you haven’t ever heard or encountered Sleek palettes before, Sleek is a UK drugstore brand usually available at Superdrug, the UK’s equivalent of Watson’s or Mercury Drug. Sleek cosmetics is also available online on their website Sleekmakeup.com . I’ve reviewed the Storm and Acid Sleek palettes before, Sleek cosmetics have been featured and used by hundreds of UK bloggers and YouTube gurus like the Pixiwoo sisters and Misschievous. They’re probably best described as the UK counterpart of NYX in the U.S., with a wide range of affordable products and colors that just keep performing and impressing with value-for-moneyquality.
Search for the Ebay seller vanitypalace (what a name, pray muna) if you’re interested or just type Sleek Palettes or Sleek makeup. Sleek palettes normally cost about 6 English pounds, I paid 10.50 pounds shipping included, that’s about Php725.00 total. When buying from Ebay, if you are from the Philippines you’ll need to be willing to wait at least 4-5 weeks minimum for items to arrive at your local post office. If from Manila, I suggest you have your item shipped preferrably to Makati address (a corporate office address would ensure your postal notice card does not get misplaced) where the post office staff are most efficient and honest.
