C.S.I, the N.A.S.A and the British Royal Family have something in common. Can’t you imagine what?  Do not worry, we will offer you the answer in this Blogvision article.

It is 1964, we are in Austria and a couple has just decided to create an eyewear model only for an esthetic purpose, just as a fashionable item not much connected about visual health.

However history would led them to change their way during consecutive years. What had started as a fashion project for Anneliese and Arnodl Schmied would became one of the most prestigious brands worldwide in visual quality: Silhouette.

Since the company was founded in Austria as a little enterprise with five workers, and only one designer, it would be transformed into a workforce of 800 people in the central headquarter in Linz and 340 more workers for the processing of the metal used in the models. Thanks to that nowadays the Austrian enterprise has continued its growth producing three millions glasses per year, exporting 95% of them and with representation in ninety countries. Not bad, isn’t it?

But regarding the initial question: What about C.S.I? N.S.A? British Royal Family?

It is time for the answers:
