I ask because the latest dribblings from that obvious Alzheimer sufferer, Vince Cable, added to the demented ambition of Huhne, the wretched crookedness of David Laws and the almost terminal smugness of their leader with the rictus smirk, Nick Clegg, confirm my view that the whole lot should be packed off to a freezing cold gulag - anywhere in the UK would do because all this 'global warming' has turned the entire country into an ice-box!
But today, let me concentrate on that old ninny, Vince Cable, who for reasons I cannot fathom, has something of a reputation as a shrewd economic operator! The man is a semi-senile, old fool who, despite evidence both historical and contemporary piling up around him, still maintains his belief that only an all-wise, all-powerful, all-controlling, all-taxing and all-dispensing government can solve our economic woes. Given the obvious imbecility of the policy pursued by the 'Posh Boys' in which they continue to borrow and spend us all down the drain leading to the Brokers' Men, old' Gramps' Cable suggests that they should borrow and spend even more! He thinks that because we can borrow at relatively low rates today, we can steam ahead and indulge in a huge splurge of spending which, of course, being directed by government and called, carefully, 'investment' will result in the economy booming. If the old fool was capable of understanding anything, I would suggest that he goes and has a nice chat with the boss of, say, PIMCO, the international moneylenders to find out what they think of his idea and by exactly how much they will ratchet up their interest rates if the country spends even more of their money! However, as he is, apparently, unable to remember the voluble Ms. Pryce shrieking, like the tragic heroine of a Greek tragedy, her desire for vengeance on her former husband, then I guess he would forget what the money-lenders told him before he even left the building! In fact, without his numerous SpAds and assistants would he even know where he was or who he was?
