Shellac Nails: Initial Impressions
Shellac nails have been around for years and it's something I've always wanted to try but one of those things I just never never got around to doing. Browsing one of those daily deal sites I came across a deal for a Shellac manicure and pedicure and thought it might be a great way to have nice nails whilst I am away on holidays but not have to worry about painting them.
My initial impressions are positive- I love how glossy and shiny my nails look (I hope it lasts) and I like the idea that the color can last up to 2 weeks. The process was longer than a traditional manicure because between each coat of polish you have to hold the nails under a UV light for 1min to harden and set the applied layer.
There were lots of pretty color to choose from- I went with a simple everyday pink for my hands and dark navy blue for my toes.

In a week or two's time I'll do a follow up post and let you know how I have enjoyed Shellac, how it has worn and if I'd recommend it. I'd love to hear your experience with Shellac- please leave a comment below.
