For boxing, you’ll want to be mainly side on, with one leg in front of the other.
Most people who are right handed stand with their left foot forwards. This is called Orthodox stance.
left handed boxers, usually have their right foot forwards. This is called Southpaw stance.
Numbers explained:
1 Jab
from orthodox stance (left foot forwards), jab is usually a quick straight punch thrown with the left hand.
jabs to the head are most common, but you can also throw to the body.
2. Cross

3. Hook
3 is a left hook, this is a technical punch, and a very powerful one, throw with the front hand in orthodox stance
