Self-Transcendence 3100 Mile Race 2017 - Daily Updates - Day 44

Daily Diary
Monday 31st July - Day 44

Not such a kind day, although calm and comfortable most of the day it did get warm from late morning to late afternoon, but by no means unbearable.

The last few days have a similar thread running through them.
1) will Vasu have a high number of laps or average and be best or second best of the day.
2) will Kaneenika record the highest daily laps and by how much closer to Nirbhasa will she get.
3) will Nirbhasa not let 2) affect him.
4) will Harita and Yolanda stay on track to finish.

Answer for Day 44
1) - back to a high of 121
2) - 2nd best with 119.!!!!, and down to 2.2 miles
3) - no, churns out 115 laps and only being chased down by a World Class athlete being crewed very single
4) - Harita 109 laps and 3 miles above the line. Yolanda 113 laps and 17 miles below the line. If this continues they will both finish and very late even into the last few hours.

Crew Chief

Utpal's daily blog today features a chat with the race leader and the topic gets around to falling. Most people have a fall at some point during the race. Suprabha was notorious for it and even Yolanda it seems has tasted concrete and Yolanda is a walker. Its usually a shock when it happens and Vasu's comments are interesting.
