Sometimes the foot filing part of my pedicure sessions is what excites me, because I know that right after I'll have velvety smooth feet. To turn it on twist the neck of the device to the left. When you're using it keep your grip firm and don't let the head roll against you, press it against skin and let it do the work. My feet were almost completely dry. The device is said to work best on dry feet.
To show its effectivity I will link to a before and after photo of a dry white, callous knobby area I had on my big toe, but to spare some of you (who prefer not to see that) and to keep blogging dignity high I will only link to the before and after photo right here where you can click. After focusing on some knobby areas and my heels I used the device over the rest of my feet and got what pretty much felt like baby soft results on some areas...it would have been total if I had spent more time using the device on both feet.
