Hi! so sauna suits are great, but I wouldn’t use them for long term weight loss – you are dehydrating yourself not losing bodyfat.
In fact, if you want to increase your metabolism, you’re probably better off getting really cold and having an ice bath
Using a sauna suit to lose weight long term is ineffective! Boxers use them before they weigh in for a fight but immediately rehydrate after they make weight.
Assuming you get hot enough by exercising in your sauna suit, you can enjoy some sauna-related benefits which include:
- Heat shock proteins (reduce inflammation)
- Reduced pain
- Increased GH secretion
- Improved cardiovascular health
- Sweating is a genuine way to detox
- General feeling of wellbeing
Saunas are also great for depression and mental health.
I enjoy going for a walk in my suit, getting a massive sweat-on – it leaves me feeling great afterwards
I also like to go for a ‘sauna suit walk’ prior to doing (very) hot yoga
I’ve found hot yoga much more effective for improving flexibility than yoga at a normal temperature.
At your own risk, you can get even hotter in a sauna suit by using full flush niacin and chilli rub. Start off with tiny amounts though, both can be pretty brutal
