Samsung Galaxy S5 News: Production Planned for January

Galaxy S5 is expected to be significantly more powerful than its predecessor Galaxy S4 and its production is planned to start in January.

The new Samsung model should run on the latest Android OS 4.4 KitKat. Anonymous sources also claim that Galaxy S5 will be available in a version with a plastic or metal housing, with a 64 – bit processor under the hood, 3 GB RAM, 16-mega-pixel camera and 4.000 mAh battery, along with a 5 – inch flexible screen with 560 pixels per inch.

By the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S5, according to the market research company, International Data Corporation (IDC), 1 billionth smartphone will be sold in 2013. This is 39.3% more than in 2012. The smartphone market in the United States and Europe might be saturated, but the markets in Asia, Africa and Latin America are still growing. The IDC predicts that the average price of the smartphone will drop from $387 (2012) to $265 by 2017. The predictions for this year are that the phone sales will reach 1.7 billion.
