The AnTuTu benchmark tests that emerged online a couple of days ago allegedly represent the specifications of the fifth generation Samsung Galaxy model. The South Korean company plans to launch their next flagship device in the first half of 2014.
Samsung Galaxy S5 might be launched in February
Code-named SM-G900F, the international version of the Galaxy S5 should feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 800 clocked at 2.5 GHz, Adreno 330 GPU, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. Many were disappointed to find out that the next best thing from Samsung will have similar hardware as the one of Galaxy Note 3 phablet, since rumours applied to a new generation hardware. As for the other features seen in the benchmark test, the front camera would have 2.1 mega-pixels while the rear sensor would be of 16 mega-pixels. Based on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, the device would have a display with resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels, so there will be 2K as previously suggested by several analysts.
AnTuTu Benchmark Test of Galaxy S5
The components chosen by the South Korean for the product in question would make it one powerful smartphone, but nothing is certain until Samsung can not make an official announcement. However, many believe that the specifications could be improved further compared to those in the leaked benchmarks.
Nevertheless, our advice is: do not be disappointed and wait for Samsung to make things official. If we can believe the rumours Samsung will unveil the handset by late February, possibly before MWC in Barcelona 2014 kicks off.
