Rustic Pearl

By Takeeatfoodblog
Rustic Pearl delivers plates and drinks with vibrant colours- definitely Instagram worthy food! However, Rustic Pearl is more than just ridiculously photogenic food and beverages but they definitely have something to boast about with their flavorsome dishes. Both breakfast and lunch menu have an extensive mix for different taste buds.

Rustic Pearl is located on the busy Crown Street, standing alongside other hip looking cafes. Rustic Pearl is a very small cafe, when my friend and I arrived the interior was already packed with people so we were given the bigger table outside. The problem with sitting outside was that the footpath was on a slant so I felt like I was leaning back the whole time and at times I thought our food would slide off the table.

We waited quite a long time for a food- a bit over half an hr. The waiter did come to us to tell us that the
gözlemes will take 10 minutes and as we waited we did get a little impatient and we asked again where our food was, which we were told it would be another 10- 15 minutes. I did realize that the table next to us got there food quite quickly and we arrived roughly the same time as them.

Sucuk bruschetta | char grilled sucuk, melted buffalo mozzarella, fresh tomato, basil, rocket, pomegranate molasses & soft boiled egg | $17
The 'Sucuk bruschetta' tasted as good as it looked! I really enjoyed the char grilled sucuk that had a ting of spiciness to it. It was a very light but filling dish that had packs of flavor in it. I was a little confused as why there was only 1 and half pieces instead of 2 pieces....

Gözlemes | Chicken, wild mushrooms, fresh tomato, olives & mozzarella (vegetarian variation available) | $17
The chicken and wild mushroom gözlemes came out piping hot from the oven and it tasted so so good! The chicken, wild mushrooms and mozzarella worked well together and it had a nice creamy texture inside. The gözlemes was nice and crisp on the outside and the inside was soft and creamy.

Turkish apple iced tea | w/ lemon, rose, mint & cucumber | $6.5
Picture Overall, the food was very good and satisfying but it was anything spectacular that would make me want to go back again. The wait for our food was a bit frustrating but the taste and quality of the food made up for it. The iced tea was definitely something worth trying and it was very refreshing. Go try out of this quirky little cafe and see what you think of it.

Happy eating x
